BTW, lipoprotein (a) is basically all genetic as far as we currently know - diet & exercise and all that have no effect on it, and it barely changes throughout your life

They're trialing a new medication that completely shuts off the gene producing it, in case that may be relevant to yall =)

The reason this is ridiculously lucky is, my father's family has one of the worst histories of heart disease anywhere. One relative had a quadruple bypass at *age 28*! And sure enough, turns out they all have really high lipoprotein (a)

My sibling & i both dodged this, hell yeah

i also had my lipoprotein (a) looked at since more recent research identified that as a major risk factor for heart disease, and mine is right around the normal level whew

(to be specific, normal is 3.9 or lower and i'm at 4.0)

any time i've had it checked in my entire life it has NEVER been below 250, i did not expect this at all esp since i don't think my diet is still exactly the greatest or anything. all that working out does have some benefits i guess~

Like every time this comes up i think of David Yost talking about how the other actors on Power Rangers were very supportive wrt him being gay, or at least didn't have a problem with it - it was their supervisors & bosses who targeted him over that

Since the topic of bullying within Nijisanji EN has come up again, i'll just say that history tells us it's more likely to come from managers and higher-ups than from the other talents. This is a consistent trend in the entertainment industry as a whole!

Chibidoki has argued for years that there should be designated streaming areas at the convention, and i think at this point you can't avoid that if you're truly serious about fixing this event

Remember, Twitchcon started as a networking event then pivoted to a fan convention!

YES, this as well! It really seemed like there were more streamers there than regular-ass attendees, and that was almost all small streamers trying to grow

The other primary problem is how many people are streaming AT the convention, even i got ambushed by one of them for some awkward questions and i haven't been a regular streamer in years

If you're a popular creator, Twitchcon is basically uninhabitable bc of this

Thinking about Twitchcon more, the biggest fundamental problem w/ the event is that it puts big streamers in the same room as the people most unhealthily obsessed w/ them

Something like AX seems less prone to Incidents(tm) since streaming culture isn't the primary focus

Prior to going here, i wasn't fully aware of how bad Twitchcon's history has been wrt security & women being drugged/assaulted/etc. there. Going at all was a spur-of-the-moment decision for me, and i don't regret it given what i managed to do there, but yeah fuck all that

It wasn't even just Emiru either - on a smaller scale, Chibidoki & her fans got a lot of mixed messages from the staff. They turned away 80% of the line for her meet & greet and claimed it was because she wasn't feeling well, when Chibi makes a point of always sticking around for the whole line!

Well, this weekend started out rough for my goals but yesterday ended with a lot more progress!

Not going back to the con today, i wore myself out too much on Sat and am feeling a bit sick now (also accomplished what i needed to). And after what happened with Emiru, i don't trust Twitchcon

I used to fuck with this game hard. depending on whether or not you set the inner strength to infinite or not, everyone has something goofy. but then also multiple characters just have mugen walk up jab infinites. I love this game.
