Sometimes I feel like my biggest mistake in life was learning English (especially at a young age). This feeling is very much linked to the notion that Mgs2 and mgs V were in practice prophetic. Languages are nations and virus can spread through them.

TLDR: I wish I learned french instead of English

I used to work a place that had a wearhouse with lights that worked off of movement sensors.

To be clear. You couldn't turn the lights on or off.

They came on when they sensed movement and went off when movement stopped...

To be fair season 2 never mind season 1 was in production for a long time before the election, never mind all the authoritarian moves made since. Tony Gilroy said he looked at 20th century revolutionary history. In a recent interview he did say that it rhymes with what is going on though.

You can never get rid of the most hateful voices, but the goal is to drive them underground, to make their views unpalatable and unfashionable, so the majority will be unwilling to be associated with them, even if deep down they sympathise.

I'm in the UK, and things that most people (outside of outright skinheads) would have been too ashamed to voice in the open just a year ago, are becoming pretty mainstream.
Most people are not political, most people think of themselves as reasonable and level headed and "good".

This in turn sanitises their views, which in turn leads to more people feeling it's ok to voice those opinions.
In the US this might not be so obvious because the discourse has been toxic for so long.

I don't think you can. Only thing we can do is hold strong, and pull at the center. This article does a wonderful job of pointing out how liberals and "centrists" are easily seduced into pandering to the right for the sake of "unity".

What app would people recommend for reading comics? E.g. purchased through humble bundle.

ideally apps where I can easily switch to panoramic view for two page spreads and back (e.g. like marvel unlimited does)
