Game developers were here first. Not executives.

Game developers make games. Not executives.

Game developers have skills & knowledge important to the business. Not executives.

Game developers deserve to keep their jobs. Not executives.

Executives are replaceable. Not game developers.

Day 3 is Evil C3PO

Why is it after having cried a lot, at anything (in this case art), my face aches for ages afterward?

I think each Star Trek series uniquely best represents an aspect of the franchise.

TOS is the seed, from which strange new life sprang, and I do mean strange. TOS is goofy as fuck.

As horrific as any of the other options
Netflix’s new bid to buy Warner Bros is a mostly cash offer.

The company is arranging a mega-loan to be able to buy WB

If I had a dollar for every video game in which post-apocalyptic Las Vegas appears I'd have (at least) 2 dollars.

Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice

It's part of why I feel a measure of pride in Australia. We have our flaws no doubt; those among us who would rather sow division Ava fear than work in unity. But that's part of our strength; we are diverse, and from many places, all working towards the shared goal that is Australia.
Nothing can instill in me such heights and depths of both great disappointment and great pride than humanity.

We are a wondrous species, when we we're in diverse unison towards a shared goal.

We're also a great peril to both ourselves and the rest of the planet when acrimonious division rises.

Star Trek computers are cool and all, but no one actually wants to use their voice to control a computer, even if it was flawless.

AI is a fascinating technology, which has some very useful and important utility, specifically in statistical analysis and pattern recognition, especially when applied to the fields of medicine, data analysis, and some other fields of science.

Day 2, we get.... Whatever this is, a kitchen?

Read this thread
Let me give some insight on this, as a producer in the dub industry who worked with major streamers, who's witnessed first-hand where this push for AI is coming from.

tl;dr: Only CEOs want this. Tell them how much you hate it. Be loud, email, call, @, post. You will kill this.

🧵⬇️
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them

A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

There is honestly very little that can shock me from the GC crowd these days, but this is truly appalling.
I thought I could not be shocked by what prominent transphobes feel able to say about me. Turns out I was wrong.

Here is Richard Dunstan, a prominent commentator closely associated with the Sex Matters charity, speculating that I enjoyed being sexually assaulted as a child.

Fun fact: The Kylie likely originates from the Noongar¹ word (kiley) for Boomerang (lots of different groups of First Australians have different names because they have differing languages)

Didn't expect this post to resonate with so many people
I'm about half way through Discovery's first season in my Star Trek re-watch, and you know what?

Discovery is genuinely a good Star Trek series, even from the first season.

And I'm tired of people saying it isn't.

This game kicks ass! A true Geometry Wars successor that feels both familiar and original
This is Sektori! A twin-stick shooter I've been making (and documenting the journey) since April 2021. And it finally launched TODAY on Steam, PS5 and Xbox! Here's a fresh launch trailer, all shares highly appreciated. More game info in replies.

I can't help but find most queer communities tiresome. Maybe it's me, I'm perpetually tired and don't have the patience for all the bullshit.
