On my walk, I left this prayer made from an antler-like branch, some humble stones & dust:

Where there's life, there's hope.
Where there's life, there's also suffering.
Let us do what we can to bring hope to the suffering.

i'm baffled by all the people in the replies to posts about the spy doorbells asking for alternatives. like... the alternative is a regualr fucking doorbell with no camera in it. or a door knocker. get you a weird gargoyle guy! you dont need a camera!

When @alwayscoffee.bsky.social & I co-wrote "I Know Why Ophelia Picked Her Own Bouquet", we ended up crafting an incantation made from moonlight & moss, freedom & flame.

Found a Filipino café tucked in a small Asian grocery shop & got my fix of purple ube.

Adorably? They sealed it w/a sticker of a smiling sun saying, "Hope this brightens your day!" & it kind of did :)

Just a friendly reminder to support independent places like this in your community as you can. 🌞💜

And then there's my beloved Sicily, where Medusa is revered enough to be featured on the flag. #Trinacria 🍝🐍

CINDERWICH is a jewel of an Appalachian Gothic complete with ghosts, intergenerational lesbians (just you know... living their lives, investigating mysteries), clootie wells & blackgum trees, witch sisters who are equal parts dubious & hospitable, + a goat for good measure. What's not to love?! ☠️🫖🐐
Also: !!! And yes, it’s rather gay. And cozy. But cozy horror wasn’t a category option, heh.

Take it from one of the spooky sisters with a doppelgänger appearing in #Cinderwich - it is WORTH $3 to escape *gestures at everything* to refuel your spirit a bit & delve into the kind of horror that doesn't forget to at least offer you some nice Earl Grey tea first. 🫖👻🍃

There is not a day where love doesn't help just a little. Where kindness won't matter. Kindness and love always matter.

I care to my marrow, and I love when people let me. I love when people respond in kind. Share in kind. Show in kind.

Things are ghastly. Love out loud. Share the good stuff.

Imbolc

Summon forth our spirit of renewal
With the turning of the wheel
As we determine that which must be put to rest
And envision all which is ready to be awakened.

Oh goodness, I remember making this scarf ~way back~. What an honour to have you make an offering of it now as a cherished Bratóg Bríde! ❄️💙☘️
Today is St Brigid's Day and during the snow storm I put out a Bratóg Bríde outside. It is something well loved that has lived in the house and carries its warmth.

In old belief Brigid moves quietly through the darkness trailing blessing and healing.

May Brigid bless the house.

Happy Imbolc, everyone.
For the uninitiated, these are Irish Throwing Stars, an ancient weapon wielded by St. Brigid during the 1916 Rising, striking fear into the hearts of the British, and responsible for the eventual smiting of both Cromwell and Thatcher.
