As a former goalie this brings me so much joy

Watching non-goalies getting wrecked trying to do what we do (in soccer, hockey or whatever sport) is never not great
Don’t underestimate the power of a ball launcher 😆🚀

A colleague alerted me to the face that Regulations.gov now has a space to propose deregulation.

I know this admin is looking for ideas for how to destroy the country and it would be a real shame if folks filled this with "helpful" suggestions

What a funny coincidence that this is set in St. Moritz which is where I set WAKE UP, NAT & DARCY (which is about two former hockey players (college teammates/gfs turned Team USA/Canada rivals covering the winter Olympics for a morning show).
For your Olympic sports romance needs, Rufaro Faith Mazarura’s wonderful, thoughtful Skate It Till You Make It stars a Black British women’s hockey player and the photographer she’s pretending to date. People are messy, Olympics infrastructure is fascinating!

Touché, Danes!!! Touché. I vote yes.
More than 200,000 Danish citizens have signed a petition to buy California as a response to Trump’s attempt to take Greenland.

They say they will provide Californians with “rule of law, universal health care, fact-based politics, and a lifetime supply of Danish pastries.”

This and also, WHAT KIND OF GHOUL DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO BE DEFENDING GASSING BABIES?
The 6-month-old that DHS is tweeting about here lived in the neighborhood and the baby’s father was just trying to evacuate his family after federal agents had shot someone.

If Donald Trump can abolish the Department of Education without SCOTUS stopping him, there is nothing to stop a Democrat in the White House from abolishing ICE. And SCOTUS has said Presidents have absolute immunity so... get creative Democrats

This morning it was "feels like 4" on my 5 AM run. It was fucking miserable and I am fairly used to running in the dark frigidity of Massachusetts in January.
But afterward, the one thought brought me joy was that ICE (many of whom are not used to this weather) freezing their faces off in MN.

It’s bitterly cold and windy today, but hundreds (at least) of kids from around St. Paul organized a walkout in protest of ICE today. They marched to the capitol and many spoke from the capitol steps. I’m so proud of these kids.
