Marketing is hard. #Book marketing is super hard. Getting reviews for those books is harder still. Here we have a #collection of #SFF books that seem to largely fall between the cracks of easily defined genres, deserving of some attention.

I'm only small, but even I've had several accounts follow me with inconsistent photos (which all reverse search back to actual artists and businesses) mixed in with slop machine nonsense, and that's just instant blocks for them all.

“So you’re Kynweyrdi.” A sheet of scrap paper on the book between them sketched the relationships between several kingdoms in Oana’s hand—a crude map of words and squiggled rough borders. Ittaura rested one finger on the line of text indicating Kynwer’s name near the bottom of the page. “Which means you had to cross half a continent, an ocean, and then three more kingdoms to get here.”
“Well. Technially, yes. Prince Atto recruited me from one of the Eastern Towers when I was seeking a new position, so I really only crossed Vallare, a sliver of Alamanre, and Elyani at the time.” Oana pointed the more or less straight line west she travelled across the continent, and Ittaura withdrew her own hand. “I haven’t been to Kynweyr in nearly fifteen years, now.”
“Is it true that Kynweyrdi midwives are all witches? I heard that Queen Elmrea—”
“Ittaura, I’ve told you more times than I can count that there is no such thing as a witch.” Oana looked at the younger woman, torn between bemusement and frustration. More often than not, these conversations veered into the same topic, and she couldn’t tell if Ittaura was forgetting, or simply determined to believe in witches.

I usually refer to the whole spider size including legs.

But if I'm telling someone about a spider being an unusual size, I'm talking hand-sized or larger huntsmen usually (harmless, good friends, eat moths and roaches).

I am also the resident spider removalist in the house.

Scam alert: there's an IngramSpark impersonator at ingramsparkbookpublishers dot com. Part of a wave of publishing/ghostwriting scams from Pakistan that hijack authors looking to self-publish--they often "borrow" well-known publisher names but this one also "borrows" the real IngramSpark's logo

Always have enjoyed stories about werewolves and vampires, but I've looooved cryptids since I was a kiddo watching Unsolved Mysteries with my dad. I drew so many pictures in my school notebooks of monsters from the show, but especially Champ and Nessie. 😂
