Seattle is one of the 2 US metros that has increased in density in the last decade. The big hire rises and blocks of medium rise apt buildings are responsible for a lot of it but this helps.

This lot used to be a dumpy 1-story duplex. It is being replaced by 12 townhouses. It is exciting.

Also, my brother spent a good time of his enlistment as a driver for a colonel. He was a dumb 20-22yo. That was in the early 90s.

To be clear, I had reservation before I learned of the Constellis connection (the anti-Dem shit definitely part of that). And one of the reasons is that family is grossly interconnected with the larger Christofascist movement. It isn't *just* literal mercenary work is morally compromised.

He's not the protagonist of human events. And to the extent he's a significant character in world affairs, whether or not he gets a prize is one of the least important things about it.

In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.

Picture how big the Hoover Dam is. An absolute unit. The Hoover Dam has a power capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The solar farm that the Admin just cancelled could have produces 6.2 GW of power. That's more than 3 Hoover Dams.

Honestly, I can't think of a Republican woman politician that doesn't seem "professionally unbalanced" right now.

Republican men are awful--somewhere between spineless and utterly evil. But relatively few seem set to "are they are off their meds or on something new" on a regular basis.
