The duplex was and 1980s build, no architectural value and low quality build. It had been vacant for a while.

Yes, parking will be worse. That's okay.

Seattle is one of the 2 US metros that has increased in density in the last decade. The big hire rises and blocks of medium rise apt buildings are responsible for a lot of it but this helps.

This lot used to be a dumpy 1-story duplex. It is being replaced by 12 townhouses. It is exciting.

It’s Hamas
It’s antifa
It’s Soros
It’s terrorism
It’s…
It’s…

It’s Americans who will be peacefully marching with signs and supporting democracy—and don’t want a King.

#WeAreTheMajority
And they know it.

Also, my brother spent a good time of his enlistment as a driver for a colonel. He was a dumb 20-22yo. That was in the early 90s.

They still exchange xmas cards.

Generally speaking, I agree with you. However, without getting to red-string here, any connection to that family is worth at least explaining because of how they operate.
kathleencarson.bsky.social
To be clear, I had reservation before I learned of the Constellis connection (the anti-Dem shit definitely part of that). And one of the reasons is that family is grossly interconnected with the larger Christofascist movement. It isn't *just* literal mercenary work is morally compromised.

I am all for people learning and growing. But that was way after Blackwater as a bad actor was common knowledge and pretty recent to not have a solid way toa address it.
kathleencarson.bsky.social
My very shitty spidey senses are tingling like they did with Fetterman and should have but didn't with Sinema. And the *very* recent Constellis/Blackwater employment 😬

fucking melting down at Oysters McSexy having a primary opponent who's a [checks notes] weak dying old woman whom no right-thinking person would ever vote for, waow, sounds like it'll be an easy primary for you to win, then?

I'm adding sexism and antisemitism to your ageism and ableism.

And RBG's gender, religion, age, and abilities were unimportant to the great work she did up until the end.

REPUBLICANS FKED SCOTUS, not RBG. What is wrong with you?

The widespread media decision to frame international affairs as "will Donnie get the prize he wants?" is pathetic.

He's not the protagonist of human events. And to the extent he's a significant character in world affairs, whether or not he gets a prize is one of the least important things about it.

the Nobel Peace Prize committee going “yeah we felt like recognizing opposition leaders who resist authoritarianism was important right now for whatever reason” somehow feels like Trump won -1 Nobel Peace Prizes

like he somehow has one even less than he did before, despite never having had one

One way of thinking about the Trump administration is that the worst people in American government are pushing out the best people in American government

Their interview, described in a federal lawsuit filed last week by Mr. Driscoll and two other recently fired senior FBI officials, began with benign questions about the gravest threats to the nation and possible adjustments to the FBI's structure, but then took a swerve: Who had Mr. Driscoll voted for? When did he start supporting President Donald J. Trump? And had he voted for a Democrat in the past five elections? He declined to answer those three, noting to the 29-year-old attorney and former podcaster that the questions were inappropriate and potentially violative of the Hatch Act.

Mr. Ingrassia asked another question that would in the ensuing weeks take on greater significance: Did Mr. Driscoll think the FBI agents who had "stormed" Mar-a-Lago in August 2022 should be held accountable? Mr. Driscoll said no, since they had been executing legal search warrants.

"30-year-old conservative lawyer and activist who is Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Special Counsel, which deals with federal employee whistleblower complaints and discrimination" cancelled his colleague's hotel room so she would be forced to stay with him.

In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.

Picture how big the Hoover Dam is. An absolute unit. The Hoover Dam has a power capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The solar farm that the Admin just cancelled could have produces 6.2 GW of power. That's more than 3 Hoover Dams.

SCOOP: The Bureau of Land Management says the largest solar project in Nevada — the Esmeralda 7 mega-farm — has been canceled

The news was quietly dropped via a sudden website update with no public word from any of the companies involved or a statement from the agency

Internalize misogyny (and in this Winsome's case racism) does weird things to your head, I guess.

Honestly, I can't think of a Republican woman politician that doesn't seem "professionally unbalanced" right now.

Republican men are awful--somewhere between spineless and utterly evil. But relatively few seem set to "are they are off their meds or on something new" on a regular basis.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

The only way to get better is to practice.

Of course, you can practice and not get any better. And, frankly, that's okay.
