Happiest exploring & travelling (budget not luxury). Love big skies, mountains, sea, sunsets & singing Willie Nelson’s “On the road again”

Normally in #Shrewsbury #Shropshire, if not then you’ll probably find me on a #roadtrip somewhere.

📸 Photos my own.

Happy Friday! It's a busy weekend here in Glastonbury. It is Summer solstice tomorrow so I will up on Glastonbury Tor tomorrow morning at sunrise (forecast looking great). The town will be busy for that and also as people start to arrive for the festival. 😎☀️🥳

It flowers for about 3 weeks from late May to early June. At over 140 years old & 55 meters long, it's believed to be the oldest & longest flowering arch in the UK. 💛

One of many images captured today. A cygnet keeping close to mum. Such a wonderful moment to experience and the peak of my springtime! Have a good night. 🤍

Time stood still - Oradour-sur-Glane 🇫🇷

On 10 June 1945 a SS unit encircled the village & within hours they had murdered 642 men, women & children. The site was left in exactly the same state and has a display of watches which had stopped at the time of the attack.

Sometimes you just (as a passenger!) close your eyes and hope for the best.

This impatient car driver had just overtaken us at speed then proceeded to overtake a coach on a blind bend. 🙈
