After over a month and a half, I'm finally back in my apartment for good! This is definitely going to be an adjustment, but I am so grateful to my family for taking care of me during this ridiculous healing process.

I just realized by this time next week, I'll be asleep in my own bed in my own apartment and won't have to wake up stupid early to take meds. I am so excited for this whole chapter of medical crap to be over after nearly a month and a half!

I am incredibly lucky to have my mom in my current situation. Not only is she a person who loves medical shows and is technically an MA, she had a literal bag of bandages, gauze, tape, etc to help with wound care after this drain was placed just because of her own past surgeries.

Finding out by double checking my discharge paperwork that I was in SEPSIS when I was admitted again on the 27th because they included a "sepsis: what to expect after discharge" page and not from a medical professional directly all last week.. I'm so freaking tired

Hopefully the last fucking update: I'M HOME!! This drain came with me and needs to be taken out eventually, but I know how to handle it myself. Now I can finally wash my hair and cross my fingers that this whole nightmare is over!

I've never had children, but the amount of not being allowed to drink or eat anything I've gone through the past few weeks is making me feel like I'm having pregnancy cravings. Like what do you mean you want a bomb pop and grape Gatorade?

Well, 2 days after being sent home from the hospital, I'm in the same amount of pain as I was when I went to the ER on Tuesday, plus now I can't take deep breaths without agony. Looks like I'm heading back to the ER.
