That's a good point, but now that I'm home, I'm about a block away from another hospital if anything really goes horribly wrong. It was an outpatient procedure, so I'm sure I'd have a big fight on my hands trying to get something covered. Fingers crossed I'm on the mend and won't need anything!

I finally got a shower! And I'm only slightly shakey! I'm honestly scared to go back to my apartment that doesn't have a recliner and won't have any help if I need things, but my parents leave for vacation tomorrow morning. Hopefully nothing goes wrong and I actually start feeling a lot better soon!

My inbox is full of so many new chapters of fic, and I will be sooooo happy to read them when I can focus for more than 3 minutes on anything. This recovery is NOTHING like my hysterectomy in May, and I'm still sort of out of it from the pain meds and little sleep

Update the 5th: the trapped gas pain stuff is over, and I'm actually going to eat food today, dammit! I was dozing off the whole day yesterday, so hopefully I can manage to stay awake today!

Oh yikes! A friend who had her gallbladder out in June wondered how many people go into the ER thinking they're having a heart attack after these procedures, and I imagine it's a high number.

Not a lot, but I've been in and out of being asleep for the past couple hours. I was told I could take other pain meds between the Norco, and that seems to be doing a little bit to help?

I've been taking gas x anyway because screw it. But the heating pad my parents have is like 30 years old and we don't trust it. The doctor said I could add ibuprofen between the Norco, so we'll see how that goes.

Sometimes I remember worrying that I was embarrassing when I started sharing my fanart. I fell so hard & so fast for our pirates. Then a pro comic artist I really look up to just out of the blue told me my OFMD stuff was "beautiful work". It was like he knew I needed to hear it right at that moment.

Update the 4th: it is almost 6:30 in the morning, and I've slept in 10-20 minute intervals. The pain med is doing nothing for the gas pain, and the ER rep I called said they didn't really know what they could do. My surgeon's office isn't open yet, and their automated line isn't working. Sigh.
