Pinned
Now that I’ve worked out how to pin a post… No DMs unless I know you well/frequently interact with you, or it’s a genuine writing/editing opportunity. I’m autistic and find small talk scary IRL so won’t do it here. Thank you for respecting my wishes.

What day is it again? A great day to read a weird gothic book about death and keeping the living at arm's length... 💁‍♀️💀🖤

Voles !
Today is represented by the letter V for… voles. Both bank and field voles were making the most of a fallen fat ball in the garden. This is the bank vole, featuring a Greater Spotted Woodpecker at the end weighing up whether to snack on the bird food or the vole. #birds #nature #EastCoastKin

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary of HIS BEAUTIFUL HANDS being published. This was by far the most difficult project I've ever worked on and it's sunk straight into relative obscurity (only eleven ratings and one review on Goodreads) - but it's the book I'm most proud to have worked on.

Walked all the way to my friend’s house to do our washing. My leg gave out about two thirds of the way there. I have been hobbling around ever since.

Hey, amazing you. Love yourself. Love your friends. Love this beautiful world. Love the stories, the games, the tunes & words that bring you joy.

There's leaves on the trees that only just saw sunlight, a cloudshape that will never be repeated, & a blackbird with a shimmering wing - love it all.

We are in a Valentine Virtual Cat Show!
It's organised by @herefordcats
We've never done anything like this before but Auntie Rachel thought it'd be a good idea.
We haven't had many votes for us yet.
If you have time, would you vote for us please?
We are in category 2, 3 and 4.

The foxes are eating the fox man’s eggs behind our car again. Sometimes you can barely move on this part of the hill without literally stepping one egg shells.
Goodnight from Jill Hazely, sure it’s something other than foxes rummaging through her bins given the sooty claw marks on the galvanised lids. Goodnight from Adam Winter, offering stone prayers to the thrice-ravened saint of St. Aldate at Tateltrop. Goodnight from Hookland.

This worries me for my lovely Polish housemate, who is currently visiting family in Poland. Fortunately he is back next week before this, but I do wonder what it means for the future.
From 25 Feb everyone travelling to UK will need permission to travel, unless they are a British or Irish citizen / exempt. Visitors for short stays need an ETA (£16)

But dual nationals will be obliged to show their British passport to travel to the UK or pay £589 for a “certificate of entitlement”
Dual nationals to be denied entry to UK from 25 February unless they have British passport
New border controls require ‘certificate of entitlement’ to attach to second nationality passport that costs £589
