My mom told her physical therapist she wears a mask because her husband and daughter are immunocompromised. The PT said she is too but isn't worried bc she knows if she dies she is going to heaven. Then her co-worker yelled, “Shut up Debbie you wear a seatbelt and take blood pressure meds” 👀

Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

My grandma "accidentally" set the oven to clean when my mom (her daughter) was making her "famous" meatloaf and we were forced to go out to eat instead.

This is probably, and unfortunately, true. I think big tech in particular (I think this is less true in normal firms, since the money makers in normal firms aren't usually the tech) aren't at home to the idea that tech opinions aren't the only ones that matter and the balances are often good.
My SWAG is that many tech people who do not agree with DOGE's aims nonetheless agree with their methods.
There actually has not been enough reflection in the tech community about DOGE

on top of all the other things that are incredible about modern-day kickers, the Cowboys were more or less fine with setting Brandon Aubrey up for a 42-yarder with no attempt to get closer. for most of NFL history that would be considered a reasonably tough kick rather than a gimme
