More than 10,000 Ph.D. scientists were fired by the Trump administration last year. Grant cuts affected more.

"A few dozen got jobs in other countries" is not a serious solution.

There are not enough jobs in the whole world. The result will be less science, not the same science just elsewhere.
Dozens of researchers will move to France from US following high-profile bid to lure talent
Large proportion worked at Columbia University, which had its grants cut and frozen by the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

Black farmers are getting shut out by the Trump administration.

John Boyd, president of the National Black Farmers Association, says the WH told him, they are “moving away from DEI and small farm issues, and they were focusing on large-scale white farms… because they produce the most food.”

Take time to read the entire thread.
Here is a thing:

There were several years when I was one of VERY few journalists seriously covering harassment and abuse issues in comics (and by extension sometimes video games). During that time, I became the Person People Told Things To.

Here's an opportunity to support the other journalist arrested today; Georgia Fort, who will have far fewer resources available to her than Don Lemon.
Georgia Fort's is chilling, and it's being overshadowed by the equally chilling arrest of Don Lemon.

A GoFundMe is being set up for Fort. In the meantime, you can support her work directly – without paying massive fundraising platform fees – through her website:

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

As a labor union representing independent media workers, we feel it's important to name that both Lemon and Fort are independent journalists, and that the targeting of independent journalists should be treated with the same gravity as the targeting of those with institutional backing.
Don Lemon was not the only journalist arrested -- Georgia Fort was as well. Don Lemon has the resources to come out of this just fine. Georgia Fort may not. Let's make sure the focus is on both of them.
"As a member of the press, I filmed the church protest a few weeks ago and now I'm being arrested for that," Indipendent journalist Georgia Fort said. "It's hard to understand how we have a Constitution, Constitutional rights, when we can just be arrested for being a member of the press."
