(I do actually believe the women, it's just, I keep coming back to how even before this came out, I assunlmed eventually someone would be hurt by him. Sometimes I wonder if it's a lack of a kind of horniness that I have where I think of the potential downfalls of sexual activity in terms of "what if someone/someone's feelings get injured" rather than the HR-driven "how do I avoid liability"

I absolutely believe that there were some 20-something young women who wanted a spicy night and had it and were fine. But, again, not even talking about allegations, etc, it seemed a questionable activity for an author to engage in with fans because you could hurt someone without even doing wrong

One thing that keeps coming back to me is that in the magical world I lived in circa 2015-2019 where I believed in good intentions, playing literary fuckboy with a steady stream of much younger, potentially vulnerable, always awestruck women was doomed to eventually hurt one of them anyway.

I am more or less okay, though was told not to fly up there bc chances were extremely high she would not know who tf I even was, but she's been asking about me by my current name today. So, ugh. It's complicated.
