The Stillwater flows into the Great Miami / Msimiyamithiipi about half a mile from my childhood home. They’re urban rivers at that spot, and I never got to play or wade in them, but they felt like the edge of the unknown in my childhood imagination. I used to love watching the water from the bridge.
My favorite Twitter prompt was "RT this with your home river," so reskeet this with your home river.

Hi #QueerWritersChat! Reading is a constant inspiration. Stories, poems, novels, old and new. Imagery, a turn of phrase, a character, anything can spark an idea. Same goes for any storytelling medium, from well-written songs to TV shows. My problem is following up and making something of the ideas.

My hope is that white people won't memory-hole how quickly and shamelessly they lied about Renee Good's death, and will start applying the same scrutiny to official reports when black and brown folks get shot or otherwise die in custody.
