I got asked if I had a senior railcard at a station ticket office when I was 42.
Under 18yr olds might get quizzed about their age when trying to pay concession prices, but as a 62yr old, nobody has once yet asked for proof that I'm over 65. Footy matches, cinema and even the local rowing boats. What's more, all my friends tell me I look young for my age!

Not quite. The first branch shop (as opposed to railway bookstall) opened in Clacton in 1902. Here it is!
