Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

You may have heard that Montréal’s transit staff are striking for a month. This massive move is in direct response to the extremist neoliberal provincial government trying to pass a law that allow them to force arbitration - declawing striking. Expect more striking to come in Québec this month

That’s not the untapped resource I see in #canada.

Rents in Montreal doubled since 2019 while our politicians did nothing.

Montreal desperately needs to restore some of its affordability — this should be a priority for every mayoral candidate.

Otherwise, don’t expect us to vote for you.

The far right candidate running for mayor in Quebec City has made his entire campaign about traffic. As someone who doesn't actually live here, he wants to be mayor so he can drive through town faster.

He had his license suspended for a year. That kind of man.

The New York Times is basically the National Post.
This is quite a hed/subhed.
1) Start with Vance. Use strong action verb. Accept the autocratic premise that the “Marines’ Might” are Vance’s to flex.
2) Mention the protest second and absurdly describe them as in the thousands
3) Treat Trump’s strong man use of the military as a partisan scuffle.

Can we have nice things? I guarantee it'd cost less, feel better, and build more jobs and total economic growth than the corporate-cartel of Loblaws and + whose business management cult insists on manufacturing scarcity.

A king wants total control, a democracy is built by and for us all!

Time and again I hear people insist that any density is good but all buildings are not equal and investment condos are built to raise prices and resist affordable rent/housing. Let's not bail them out with RRSP. Maybe socialise them into public housing if they're so hard up?
