Strengthen public utilities to regulate prices to benefit rate payers instead of private company profits.
Electricity prices are soaring while utilities rake in billions in profit. Here's three ideas to bring bills down:
1) Make power cheap in the middle of the day
2) Stop utility profiteering
3) Keep climate impacts off bills

Incentives for a successful school and a successful business are completely opposite.

Start ups are risky, the problem is in a school startup, children bear the risk. The grifters just run away with the cash.

So much of the “classical charter school” model is just BS—when it’s not outright grift.

By the way, classical charters are the model pushed by Pete Hegseth in his pre-cabinet book on “the battle” for education.

Some changes that they can look forward to:

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

The insurance racket takes the “care”out of healthcare.
Here's a thought.
DENTAL and VISION should be covered by regular health insurance. We need to eliminate the need to have separate insurance for those two things, dammit. It's ridiculous.

Confusing double standard,
the current president of our country had a thinner resume. He only ran a company with his own children as employees. “The King of Debt” went bankrupt more than not, and yet no one complains about his inexperience in government.
Mr. Mamdani has been a backbench lawmaker in the State Assembly for less than five years. His first and only full-time job outside of politics involved counseling struggling homeowners at a small nonprofit in Queens for about a year. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/02/n...
