hey @nytimes.com: there is no counterpoint here. There are no credible legal experts who would EVER say that the US military has any right or authority to blow civilian craft out of the Caribbean and kill their crews from afar without any provocation. There is no other side to this question.

I pray for Mr. Kirk’s family and all who loved him to find comfort through the love Jesus Christ has for all who are broken hearted — especially as this family now knows in part some of the grief that Mr. Kirk advocated and championed toward so many others.

I pray that now in the presence of our exceedingly gracious God, Mr. Kirk might realize the harm he has done and accept forgiveness for his sins; entrusting his soul into the loving hand of our ever merciful Creator.
