Sometimes you do find historically accurate info about Japan online. This ancient art of Dutch-catching is called dejima-jutsu and it has applications in business, health, personal relationships, and politics.

TIL that the European Rabbit (the only domesticated rabbit, and an invasive species of significant impact) is an endangered species. It's tough to be a rabbit in specifically the Iberian peninsula and southern France, and correspondingly difficult to be an Iberian lynx or Spanish imperial eagle.

Just watched a YouTube video about A-frame houses and their various shortcomings, and the guy was like "so why did we like them so much" and, idk man, as you said, they're simple and stable and for 100% of human history (rounding) that really outranks "can you hang something flat on the wall"

I don't know why it is that this far out of school so much of my thinking remains dominated by the paradigm that this or that is actually some sort of test that I can pass or fail and my worth as a person depends being able to pass, but it is! How frustrating.
