this is so bad! owl service starting at 9 is wild but no f market or cable cars is just crushing the soul of the city
Yesterday I got a preview of the possible cuts Muni would have to make without new funding sources. It's bad. 20 lines gone, only OWL service after 9pm, half the frequency on all remaining routes. No F or cable cars. Ridership numbers would plummet, and our streets would be gridlocked.
What S.F. looks like with Muni cuts: Traffic nightmares and no buses after 9 p.m.
San Francisco’s financially strapped transit agency has released its first detailed scenarios of how it could cut service if ballot initiatives fail. It would include suspended cable cars.

It's worth tracking down a Mancala set if you're into boardgames btw, just because it's a wonderfully tactile game too
Playing it reminds me of mmmm, Mahjong maybe? Fiddling and clacking and shuffling the stones/glass beads around has that same clacky ASMR kinda feel to it, which not many games do.

Question for the Skyline: What was your HARDEST "cancel"?? Like the actor/singer/athlete that was the hardest to drop.
I feel like it's always people I don't fw getting canceled so it's never really a loss.

saw someone suggesting adding abolish ICE to their email sig file which is pretty good but even better would be the signoff. best is such a bad way to end an email. in solidarity is pretty good, but very nonspecific. abolish ICE is the perfect email signoff phrase.
