What PSH Tenants want is for the integrity of Housing First to be upheld. Sober housing is a good idea, but only if it’s a choice. Dorsey’s primary concern is creating a new funding category so that Salvation Army, who refuses to submit to Medicaid standards, can get funded.

Gavin Newsom just vetoed @matthaneysf.bsky.social and Salvation Army SF’s Recovery Housing Bill AB255. And he apparently did it for the proper reasons: to protect the integrity of Housing First in California. I’m quite surprised at this excellent news!

Amendments ate not a bad thing if you’re a working class person who is concerned about being forced out of yr home. Many lower income multi-generational families out in the Sunset. Renters and owners.

Engardio was recalled of his fealty to to tech VC oligarchs and the real estate industry, rather than representing denting his constituents. The park was just the beginning of it. Many people I spoke while knocking doors for the recall campaign liked the Park. Displacement was a main concern.

What’s actually happening is that Lurie and the Supes are now on-edge, and are more likely to make amendments to the Family Zoning plan. It’s hard to imagine someone worse than Engardio, and they’ll be up for election shortly either way.
