Holy shit. So Elon decides it would be nice to know what region of the world people are posting from. So they add that little feature.
2 hours later they figure out that many Trump supporters with millions of followers are posting from other countries. Surprise!
That "feature" is now gone.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

We really need to ban mayoral appointments to the Board of Supervisors. Hold a prompt special election instead and let the people decide.

The head of the executive branch should not be able to appoint members of the legislative body that's supposed to provide oversight of his administration.
As Mayor Lurie takes a second try at appointing a D4 supervisor he’s adding extra vetting and asking for more public input.

This weekend, the five finalists even got homework: connect with community members and report back.

It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

The meta point worth making here is that obviously none of these officials feared any sort of consequence for shamelessly lying their asses off in a federal court, which ought at very minimum end your career in law enforcement.
THREAD: Judge Ellis is the first federal judge to review extensive body cam video of DHS's actions in Chicago. She finds that DHS *repeatedly* misled the public and made claims that were disproven by agents' own videos.

The real story of the upzoning debate in SF right now is that the mayor and the YIMBY supervisors don’t have the courage (or interest) to take on wealthy single family home owners in rich white neighborhoods (upzone Pac Heights, etc) so they are upzoning demolitions of rent controlled homes instead.
