I think the sweeping brush argument that the military is made up of mostly “poor people that have no choice” needs to be seriously analyzed. People just say this without providing any proof of this only anecdotes. I think there was an argument to be made during the draft but it’s optional now.

Perhaps now people will stop wishcasting about the US military refusing illegal orders. That's not a thing that happens. The 100% compliance rate with using civilian boats for target practice was a bit of a tell.

1. Yes, Trump launching a new military operation overseas without Congress’ prior declaration of war or authorization of force is almost certainly unlawful.
2. No, there is no real chance the courts will stop it.

At this point, if a Democratic presidential candidate wants my vote, their platform has to - at bare minimum - include some version of "I am going to put all these freaks in prison for their crimes." Full stop. No compromise. I am now a single issue voter for the dark woke prison camps.
