It’s also not true. It’s apples to oranges. Both Obama and Clinton levels of deportations were fueled by rapid border removals. Trump, through brutality and defiance of the law, has managed to halt most border crossings. Deportations from the interior are at record levels. That can’t be done nicely.
Hilary Clinton over at one of those Davos/Epstein class panels arguing that Democrats are better than Republicans at deportations so perfectly, ironically, and unwittingly encapsulates how we got to this moment. Democrats need wholesale leadership change. And quick.

It’s a lie. It’s propaganda.
We asked www.PAXIS.app to sum it up:

ICE did not “find 3,364 missing children”. They updated contact info.

Why? To serve paperwork, secure court dates, and deport.

Not rescue. Deportation prep.

Call it what it is: a lie.

AOC’s biggest problem if she runs for president is that the white men who control our media ecosystem will not so much put a finger on the scale to stop her as an entire hand

it can be done (see: Zohran) but it’s going to be blatant and it’s going to be infuriating

Maybe this article should've mentioned the DHS IG was recommended for termination by the IG oversight board and found guilty of “substantial misconduct”. He also survived Trumps IG purge bc he’s under Noem’s thumb and totally ineffective. All relevant to whether a shutdown will “imperil oversight”.

Hiring numbers were revised down by over a million jobs.

Largest annual revision in over 20 years.

If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''
On this day in 1921, Congress reluctantly accepted a sculpture memorializing women’s 19th A victory. Congress relegated the memorial to the Capitol’s crypt & painted over the feminist inscription. The statue stayed entombed in the crypt for 76 years. The inscription is still not restored. #WeTheMen

I think it’s time for Democratic leaders to start saying “if you’re a pilot or ground crew involved in a deportation that was stayed by a judge, you’ll be held criminally liable for human trafficking.” Everyone involved in these flights should have that fear in the back of their minds.
Overnight, this probable ICE flight landed in Benin and is now returning to Senegal, likely for a crew layover.

Yes, the most exhausting thing about the far-left is responding to their completely fictional version of the Democratic Party (one that is not, for instance, one of the most visibly pro-trans parties on Earth).

And where they believe punishing America with fascism is justified by Dem failures.
Speaking as someone who has many, many complaints about the Democratic Party, “letting them lose” when they’re in a contest with an actual fascist party isn’t very smart. Nor is it remotely fair to say they’ve adopted far right policies on trans rights, immigration, or abortion (??).
chat is it good or bad if the only defense against fascism is voting for one party forever and never letting them lose no matter how far right they go and how much of the fascist's policies around immigration and trans rights and abortion they start taking on over time?

from the perspective of someone who might want to be president, the best time to run for the white house is now, not later. so if AOC is thinking about it — if the white house is her ambition — then her best bet is to throw her hat in the ring
You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid
She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.

This. Precisely this. Serious people don’t threaten to vote third party, because it’s a tantrum.

I don’t like Newsom at all, I think he’s an amoral opportunist. But JD Vance is quite literally a man who gets his ideas from neo-Nazis. He’s a white supremacist fascist. It’s an easy, easy choice!
Threatening not to vote just shouldn’t be as much a thing as it is in progressive spaces instead of being the fucking constant monotonous feature that it is and more then anything else if you’re doing that over Newson you’re just telling me and everyone else that what’s happening now is nbd to you.
The reason people are concerned about lefties saying “I won’t vote for a moderate Dem” isn’t because they want Newsom. It’s because lefties keep not voting for moderate Dems!

I think all the scolding about it being years til the primary would hit a little harder if WE DIDN’T JUST GO THROUGH THIS
