Fingers crossed I don’t have many surgeries left in me, but somebody in my support group was asking how our scars are looking. This is me 9 years later. The little white dots are drains from various and numerous procedures. #salivaryglandcancer survivor.

Thanksgiving was a resounding success. The funeral potatoes were woefully undercooked. But the smoked turkey, the turkey roulade, the air fried turkey and the ham were very well liked! 33 dishes. Good party. So much dessert.

A GORGEOUS red shoulder hawk landed at my feeder this afternoon. He was maybe 6ft away from me, behind a window. It’s funny. He actually seemed smaller than I expected.

I successfully did steaks sous vide during lunch today. Served over leftover rice and broccoli from last night. Very happy. Too bad I only ate maybe 1/3 of one steak. Now I have to pack up the leftovers.

Fun fact you don’t know about me: due to surgical complications, I drool out of my scalp. Especially when I eating something salty and savory. I won’t even notice until I touch the side of my head and it feels like I somehow spilled water up there. Part of 9 years of cancer side effects.

As a man with half a Frankenstein face and a semi toothless mouth for the same reason, I can relate to this.
Sometimes, I kind of feel like a Frankenstein myself. Just a handful of mismatched limbs held together by vibes and one questionable thunderstorm.

The play of blaming immigrants and poor people is old and exhausting.
I spent a few years with housing as my main or second beat as a reporter and that is absolutely not why housing is expensive. Not even remotely why.

I can't remember the precise wording but someone on here said that the Republican threat to expose Bill Clinton too isn't so much a threat as it is a "buy one, get one free" promotion.
