Chelsea and very socially liberal politics, so basically you'll get angry at something.
Right, I'm off to bed. Stop the News for a bit, thank you. We all need a bit of a rest.

I had a joke about how if Marvel really wanted to impress milennial geeks like me by resurrecting something for the next Avengers, they'd bring back Firefly.

Then I remembered... the unpleasantness.

Thank you and farewell, the great Eddie McCreadie. Had the joy of meeting him several times.

Here, from his chapter in my 1995 book Rhapsody In Blue, Eddie Mac describes his greatest goal – in a League Cup semi-final vs Leicester 30 years earlier

4yrs ago today, we helped @catsprotection.bsky.social trap this tiny, hungry, limping feral kitty. He wasn't happy about staying in our spare room for a month after a vet visit.

But then he discovered duvets. And after we released him, i went for a nap. Woke up to discover he'd decided to move in.

I've often joked that Reform is comprised of people that were born in 1956 but believe they lead the charge on D-Day and I do maintain that, UKIP is made up of the remnants of that group who also believe they were on the beaches that day...
Ukip have submitted a new logo and slogan to the Electoral Commission, swapping the £ pound sterling symbol for a cross, that looks very much like it is modelled on the Iron Cross used by Prussia & Germany 1871-1918 and Hitler's Nazi regime from 1933-45

A) This is completely genuine. You can check the electoral commission website further down the thread.

B) I'm guessing this is partly a hilarious lib-owning meme thing which shows why I'm glad I'm not on Xitter any more.

🎵 Without a Mayor Adams
New York would really stink.
We wouldn’t have the Rat Tsar,
Or compact wheelie bins.
He found your kiddy’s crack pipes,
And survived that low-speed crash.
It’s not the Mayor’s fault that the crypto coin collapsed! 🎵
Eric Adams, former NYC mayor, launched a memecoin (cryptocurrency) today. He marketed it as an “NYC Token” and used media appearances and his social media to promote it.

Within hours, Adams then drained its liquidity, apparently having scammed investors out of $3.4 million—a move called a rug pull.

Pretty much every inmate I met when I worked in a sex offender's prison was a Tory, so this is a message that will land well with at least one strongly conservative demographic.
Right, so if I get this right, the official position of the UK Conservative Party is that child sex abuse material is fine as long as your social media site that is generating it from pictures of clothed children can't be accessed by children and the people asking for it are paying for the privelege

Ultimately it’s not a hard question, or shouldn’t be: if there were a website called creepywank dot org, where you could upload any picture or screengrab of anyone and get AI to produce a photorealistic picture of that person, regardless of age, in a state of undress…should it be legal in the UK?
Stephen has been bang on with this aspect of Badenoch's leadership from the start, and it has culminated in a position of being squeamish on banning a site mass-producing CSAM images because something something "Labour might ban it"
The premise of everything Kemi says and does is “if Labour are doing it, it must be bad”, and everything else is about her making intellectual pretzel shapes around that.
