Maxine is a singer, wrestler and doctor all rolled into one. Is there anything he can't do?

Syd's body double is doing a great job. Sadly Eddie's cannot match his head and neck girth.

They say social media is immediate but nothing will beat reading on the Popbitch board that the Cheeky Girls were outside my local Woolworths doing shopping AT THAT MOMENT.

One of the usual suspects is uploading The Pallisers to Youtube. Dreary as hell but have to keep checking as I want some Tony Ainley beard twirling action.

The only reason anyone remembers the series is because JNT worked on it and remembered Ainley's beard twirling when casting his Master.

NB due to the size of the deployment I did have MS's ear. They promised to look into it............ Was still doing it 2 years later when I had to deploy a single encoder on its own.

My solution was to double the memory in each encoder which would buy me enough time that it became someone else's problem as I'd have left by then.

This was 100% successful

20 years ago I used to look after racks full of machines running Windows Media encoder. It would slowly leak memory over time. Ticking away until the system froze.

Yes it would take about 9 months but eventually the system froze.

Well that's the most mental thing I've seen on Linkedin this year.

Uniquely useless management charged with overseeing egotistical twats. I've been on the inside. It isn't pretty.

Alan wanted the screen to be in portrait but Orion told him that it would cost a fortune.

Imagine the later black and white monitors in portrait. Would have looked great.

The PCW is very much the forgotten player. Sold huge numbers and many users had twin drive models so they could have Locoscript in one drive and their document disc in the other.
chinnyvision.bsky.social
Bare drives yes but plenty of unloved cheap PCW's knocking around. Obvs double density ones are harder.

Belts are easy enough. Direct drive units may still need work if lubrication has dried up.

Refused to have any part of the graduation money making charade and had them post me the certificate.

Details are online. I remember driving past with the building ripped open.

Why is a CP/M + disc on the table? Why do they say 3 inch is difficult and rare? I've seen very few 8 inch in the wild but loads of 3.

Wonderful to see the Jackie archives appearing on the British Newspaper Archive so we can see which hot to trot hunks the teen girls of 1964 were moistly pinning to their walls.
