Disability scholar here once again to boost an excellent thread.
By forcing ppl to prove a need for accommodations, to “prove” a disability, we’re implying that disability is a flaw rather than evidence of biodiversity/diversity. The premise is built on ableism. Universal design is the antidote.

Having to identify oneself as disabled to access accommodations is, on its own, a huge barrier to getting many disabled people the accommodations they need.

The only thing that I've been able to do that I wanted/needed to do on the week that I took off for my birthday was spend time with my friends one day. Every other day, my mom has decided that nothing I want or need to do is allowed. But it's easier to not do what I want over having her attitude.

Chicken and biscuits: a pound of chicken, a can of cream of chicken, a can of water, and a diced onion into the crock pot. Salt/pepper/garlic and if you have it rosemary and thyme. Let cook on low for 5 hours, take chicken out and shred, add back in with a bag of any frozen veg for another hour.
