The ECHR was set up after WWII to ensure that fascism never again arose in Europe. Why do the right want to curb/limit/leave/abolish the ECHR? Because it does what it was intended to do, that's why...
How many times do we need to point this out?
By appeasing the far right, you do not weaken it. You strengthen it.
While weakening your own position.
There's a vast amount of academic research showing this.
But Labour will not listen.

a couple years ago i put together this little thread of postcards depicting Santa using every conceivable method of transportation to make his appointed rounds:
Oh no! Old Saint Nick has crashed his sleigh and those no-good reindeer have abandoned him to his fate! Whatever is he to do?

Don't worry, old postcards have OPTIONS for Santa's delivery needs.

Millionaires want a wealth tax!

Delighted to host Gary Stevenson in Parliament to talk about his work with MPs.

We discussed how raising annual revenue through wealth taxes is the most important thing Govt could do in the budget to cut inequality and raise living standards.

Better than my attempt at an explainer of the obscenity of the existence of billionaires: £1 billion = spending capacity of £1 million a month for a lifetime (not taking into account return from any investments).

My friends, that question expired years ago. (If you need receipts, my book Saving Us is literally a 300-page answer.)

The real question is: How are you PRACTICING hope?

Will Meta's planned policy update let it read users' DMs starting December 2025?
Meta's update to its privacy policy will change what it does with data it already collects from interactions with Meta AI.

This isn’t “support”, it’s a risk to the very fabric of the NHS.

Climate change doesn’t create these storms: it makes them worse. They intensify faster, reach higher strengths and dump more rain.
