What if we had a word for the specific form of violence, exclusion, and dehumanisation directed at trans women... hmm... makes you think
"It's not transphobic if we allow trans boys to play on boys' teams but ban trans girls from girls' teams" has the same bouquet as "General Motors can't have discriminated against Black women on the basis of race if they hire Black men, or on the basis of sex if they hire white women."

An important thread about the ET ruling today.
The effective conclusion of the ET is that trans people have to use third spaces. I think based on very poor legal analysis and uncritical adoption of "gender critical" talking points. But as I say, not binding, and all the relevant issues hopefully to be decided shortly by the High Court.

For those who know what this means, and this I think acts as a microcosm of the quality of the broader legal analysis - the judgment makes extended discussion of the Article 8 rights of trans people, without any reference whatsoever to Goodwin. Not sure how.

I agree (as usual) with Jo here, that all of these different ET decisions demonstrate that FWS brought anything but clarity to the state of the law.
The fact it's currently 2-1 (Peggie and Kelly - Darlington) in the Employment Tribunals demonstrates pretty clearly that whatever else the Supreme Court delivered it did not deliver clarity.

(More to follow when we can find a copy of the judgment.)

I would like to once again emphasise that the ET entirely exonerated (and indeed went out of its way to say it was doing so) the trans woman who has been so publicly monstered in this case.
Still not seen the full judgment, but notably the ET dismissed the harassment claim against Rose Henderson, the trans woman in the Darlington Nurses case.

Yet another trans woman who has been publicly demonised after doing nothing wrong.

The UK is deep into its systemic genocide of trans people - predominantly and primarily targeting trans women.

The UK must be abolished, by all means possible (which by definition cannot mean the "Democratic Process")

Things definitely lost to the Great Phone Bricking of 2026:
- Most my pictures of Ripley
- Porn folder
- WhatsApp account tied to a dead phone number

*Hopefully* I think everything else will be recoverable once I get the new phone

I'm not usually one for "5e is the worst thing ever", but today I facilitated a D&D club for 12-13y/o...

It really hit me how counterintuitive and confusing it is compared to nearly everything else I've ever played. The kids had no clue what was going on
