Any day Mendel lets me pick him up and walk around the house without freaking out is a good day.

Tried to push my luck and put him down in the office, but he noped right on out and beelined to his basket under the bed upstairs. Thankfully, he purred as I spoke to and petted him.❣️

You’re not weak for avoiding bad news — you’re human. Behavioral science calls it the “ostrich effect,” a reflex to help the mind manage what it can’t control.
Inside the Ostrich Effect: How Ignorance Has Become a Survival Strategy
Research suggests our tendency to ignore bad news isn’t irrational — it’s self-preservation, and could help explain why older people are often happier.

Don't send your coins to the wealthy trolls that live in high castles this holiday season.
Shop in your local forest and share them with the witches, goblins, and other moss draped horrors that create sparks of light in the darkness.

Flurries starting to stick as the temps have been dropping while the sun is coyly hiding in the fluffy layers of passing clouds.

Should be a little over three hours 'til sunset, and I'm curious to know how long the flakes will last.

You know, it's a slap in the face to have corporate Black Friday before Small Businesses Saturday, while also expecting the small businesses to give you some deal on Friday.

How about forget all these idiotic named days and just shop small every day.

Trump essentially said loyalty to the Constitution is punishable by death. Those are dangerous words coming from the President of the United States, but I’m not going to be intimidated.
