Men did the same thing during the me too movement. “Not all men” was commonly said. But it’s the culture of men and white people that cause these problems. We have held the power and abused it for too long. Real strength is knowing it’s time to step aside and LISTEN.

Specifically, GEFTA says: “Each employee … furloughed as a result of a covered lapse in appropriations shall be paid for the period of the lapse … at the earliest date possible.”

It isn’t even arguably ambiguous. There’s stuff about excepted employees too, but both are clearly covered.

There’s a 2019 law that guarantees it, but Trump is once again trying to break the law.

You don’t get to punish people for doing their jobs just because you’re failing at yours.

I keep thinking about this detail from today’s hearing: Federal judge April Perry said she began getting threats “about 10 minutes” after she was assigned the case seeking to block Trump’s national guard deployment. This is the world we live in now.

FYI, those who’ve read Project 2025 know political polling is becoming all the more archaic, as future elections will be fixed for White Nationalist candidates.

Please don’t mistake this to mean Republicans will win all future elections—they won’t; just ones that matter/affect national discourse.
