So is Trump going to cede power to Vance? Invent himself a new title - maybe President Emeritus? Then say they are co-leaders, while he gets himself back to full health?

I think a lot of ignorance about disability comes because many simply cannot comprehend how many of us manage with the symptoms we have.

They think we must be exaggerating.

The truth is were nearly always doing the opposite. It's almost always worse than we say.

Starmer is showing just how divorced from reality he is. His cuts to PIP will actually prevent more disabled people from working. This is a fundamentally disastrous policy which will harm people. Any decent Labour MP needs to oppose it.

I’m relieved that the government has reversed the most harmful winter fuel payment cuts. I wish it hadn’t taken 10 months and a battering at the ballot box to get here.

So I’m once again urging the government not to make the same mistake by cutting disability benefits.

Reminder that the current EHRC just lost a case where they tried to ban protest outside their HQ. They are not currently run by serious people. If it were 1962, they’d be telling Black people they’d “just have to accept fewer rights”.

Can’t believe I’ve just seen Wes Streeting on Sky News!?! advocating the return of both the death penalty!!! and child labour for under-12s!?!?

Mostly because I *haven’t* seen that.

But admit it: you kinda half believed it for a second #blueLabour

This is what it's like to live in a racist society. If the perpetrator is white, they're just some lone madman whose actions have no political implication. If they're an immigrant - in particular a dark-skinned Muslim immigrant - they represent their group and are part of a political attack.

If you wouldn't accept "we are at risk of becoming an island of strangers" from Kemi Badenoch or Nigel Farage you probably shouldn't accept it from Keir Starmer. Don't pretzel yourself trying to explain why it's ok from the guy in the red tie.

You’re telling me that right wing voters that Labour was trying to appeal to voted for a right wing party anyway and left wing voters decided not to vote for Labour because they’re too right wing now? Who could have possibly predicted this.

Tax the super-rich and multinational corporations.

Scrap the disability benefit cuts and the two child limit.

End austerity.

Put money in people’s pockets.

Work together to build a fairer, healthier, and more equal society.

This is the programme we need. [3/3]

The leadership needs to end its obsession with chasing the far-right on immigration, which only bolsters Reform.

Instead, we must tackle the real causes of falling living standards and broken public services like austerity, de-industrialisation, and climate vandalism. [2/3]

Labour losing Runcorn was avoidable and as much a result of our party’s failures as Reform’s rise.

Now, we need to learn the right lessons, not double down on the same mistakes.

Cutting disability benefits and scrapping the Winter Fuel Allowance made voters abandon us. [1/3]

The UKSC ruling was an opportunity for the government and the EHRC to step up and commit to affirm the rights of all. They've failed on every measure, choosing to peddle hate and discrimination instead.

We've heard enough: Kishwer Falkner and Bridget Phillipson must resign.
