It's a similar argument though for tabs/skill badge. Soldiers being soldiers, they are way more likely to volunteer for a course or qualification if it get them a neat badge.

This Op Ed is from June 2020, following the photo op at Lafayette Square. It's not about any current events

Literally read this as a PME case study:

A few followers saying baby fingernails are like bird talons as if we've never been picked up by large birds off a volcano after completing a life-altering quest that required great personal resilience and sacrifice and while it was happening thought wow these talons are really dangerous.

I'd recommend Poker Face (on Peacock) for a good, throwback "case of the week" type show

The Corps also can skip some levels of coordination when they own their own aviation element

You have individual companys integrate into the 96HR JFACC ATO cycle, manage air space, and successfully get JFC assets, or they just plan for immediate CAS? Because Army
FSOs also plan/call for immediate CAS. We (usually) get TACP as well to help coordinate CAS for BNs and BDEs

(Obligatory "I'm not a JTAC!") I'm not really sure what you mean. The Army division-run, AF ASOC integrated JAGIC is pretty much the standard for operations this century. It and the ATO cycle are too slow right now, but that's more of a joint not Army doctrine problem

FWIW, at USMA, MX400 is the capstone course on Officership. Civ-Mil is also hit in several other core curriculum classes, including a Military law class and another required American Politics class. The other academies are probably similar

How much do you think the wording of this NDS matters in influencing the actual policies (or just actions) taken by the dept/admin?

So what does it all mean?

– Denuclearization is dead. Beijing now hosts Kim without nuclear caveats.
– Russia-DPRK ties are deepening, with China tolerating it.
– Seoul is sidelined.
– Trump faces a harder negotiating landscape than in 2018.

USMA has flaws, but I think the once DSS now War Studies program does a lot of what you're asking for:
