- Que sólo se citen estudios de lobbies o de la CE, que es lo mismo.
- Que se diga que se va a usar IA como apoyo emocional
- Que se diga que se va a hacer optimización algorítmica del SNS (tenemos muchos antecedentes peligrosos)

People were like "you're on the same side."

Hell no we're not. Its not a binary.

Reupping this today. For obvious reasons.
Also it's ~wild~ to see a topic you've written a whole book on, have cited mostly women and PoC authors, and yet a whole multi-thousand newsletter post only cites ... other substack bros.
If academics wrote books like substack bros.

“If you’ve been with me for a while you know that I like to go DEEP into a topic. That’s just who I am. Well this new book goes extra hard & I’ve written 90k words on my fave subject. But bear with me, folks, it’s gonna be a wild ride, so buckle up.”

“Enshittification” created an imaginary space where the problems of social spaces starts when it hits their radar

Bluesky has been bad for marginalized folks and had to be insulted into moderation

And treats folks that remind them as pariahs

That’s the problem
Jay Graber has vowed to prevent enshittification. Allowing Jesse Singal on this site is the entrance ramp to the enshittification highway. The success of Bluesky is due, in part, to the early, heavy participation of trans people fleeing "X"/Twitter due to the harassment that Elon Musk allowed there.
Singal's ONLY reason for being on social media is to harass trans people and their friends. He doesn't even disguise the fact, he's been very open about his intention to harass trans people on this site. Any site that allows him to have an account is endorsing and encouraging that harassment.

The fact that it came in the door terrible for certain people is considered the price of business

You mean Black slang which is exactly why I hate EFF / enshittification/ and the Doctrow recommendation of adding AAVE to LLM

And it’s something I’ve said for years in public and on stage and is in three Black books

But hey it matters now
Turns out all the major LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, Llama 3) struggle to understand Gen Alpha phrases, like "let him cook", "ate that up", "got ratioed", "secure the bag" etc. Research paper written by a soon-to-be 9th grader www.404media.co/ai-models-an...
AI Models And Parents Don’t Understand ‘Let Him Cook’
LLMs are not familiar with “ate that up,” “secure the bag,” and “sigma,” showing that training data is not yet updated to Gen Alpha terminology.

This is both fascinating & frightening. There is a demand for images that show and confirm what people already know and believe to be true, and AI slop meets that demand—with visual content that emblematically visualizes what the headlines report. One could call it synthetic hypervisualization

That TikTok account has a few fake videos of reporters getting detained. They make these videos because it’s a big story in the news. Real reporters are getting arrested. And so people are making AI videos to get engagement on TikTok.
