if you are killing the Jews who chose not to live in Israel, it's not about Israel. It's just about killing Jews. We see this over and over. Wake up.

It's such a colossal mental sickness to whataboutism a massacre. To learn that a bunch of innocent people got murdered and immediately think, "how can I twist this around to make it about MY pet issue?"

And it's a uniquely online sickness. No one barges into funerals yelling "MY grandma died too!"

Y'know how I know "Blue MAGA" is a stupid label?

Because the people who use it are calling Blue-No-Matter-Who voters "Blue MAGA" instead of calling MAGAs "Red Dems."

I guess that must mean MAGA is the worse group.

Which means the two groups are NOT, in fact, the fucking same.

In 2026, we’re getting an adaptation of Homer’s Odyssy directed by Christopher Nolan, and a UFO movie directed by Steven Spielberg.

You say Cinema is dead? I say “NEEEEEIIIIIGGGHHH!”

I collect Weird Al rarities as a hobby, and I can't fucking believe that the first time in years he does something that actually inspires DISCOURSE on social media, his mic was probably off and you can't even hear him.

Turns out Christopher Nolan was on to something.

Lots of major positive progressive changes in this country were done by a President who took centrist or status quo positions on it during elections. Abe Lincoln and slavery. LBJ and civil rights. Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and gay marriage.

Pop passed about a year ago. Last year was tough. This year might be tougher. My condolences on your loss.

One of the hardest parts of spending your first Christmas without your Mom is when you are decorating your tree and you find ornaments that remind you of her, especially ones that have her name on them.

Film you’ve seen more than six times. Hard mode: no Stars (Wars or Trek), LOTR, or Marvel.

We could have had a Supreme Court that wasn't Republican hacks, but people played around in 2016 and didn't vote for Hillary.

Somewhere there's a universe where Trump lost that election and was a political non-entity afterward.

It’s crazy how one month before The Force Awakens, Simon Pegg gloated that it would “wipe the prequels from memory”. And here we are 10 years later. Revenge of the Sith had a successful re release for its 20th Anniversary, while TFA got nothing for its 10th Anniversary.

I mean considering Charlie Chaplin made a whole movie calling out Hitler, with The Great Dictator… I think he made his thoughts pretty clear.

I wonder what Charlie Chaplin thought of Adolf Hitler having his same mustache. Must be how I feel having the same hair as Donald Trump.

Wake Up Dead Man is another absolute triumph from Rian Johnson. Terrific as an unpredictable murder-mystery of course, but also much darker than the previous two Benoit Blanc movies, and a beautifully-written treatise on the strengths and limitations of both belief and non-belief.
