I'm delighted to announce the release of my new novel "The Shadow Minister", just published by Water Dragon.

A mashup of fantasy romance, police procedural, and cosmic horror set in Lutèce, a magical version of early 20th century Paris.

Inconceivable!

I know. That doesn't mean what I think it means. But still....
This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

It was raining in Noir city, and my sodden fedora wasn't much help. But that wasn't petrichor rising from the slick black asphalt. The mycelia spreading below the surface were only metaphorical; the rot here was spiritual, not fungal.

I really can't tell whether people are serious anymore. Sarcasm is ineffective when social reality is stupid and perverse.

But this could well be real. And if so, I suppose no actual billionaires would dare to be physically present, only wannabe techbro parasites and soi-disant influencers.

It's a myth remix where Heracles refuses to harm the legendary monsters and instead builds a found family out of them.

Also, according to numerous librarians, it features the most sailor-mouthed Hera of all time.

While analyzing our 2025 submission data, I noticed that the US is now the primary producer of slop submissions (which includes fully and partially-generated/assisted/whatever). Congrats. You're #1. Happy? You should be embarrassed. Please stop.

(In 2023 and 2024, the US wasn't in the top three.)
