If we allow trans women to compete as women they might experience joy and camaraderie by being accepted and seen as women and we can’t have that

Sinners is a period piece horror film that cost about $95 million. it brought in $367 million worldwide. don't tell me people don't go to the movies anymore. they do. they're just tired of constant remakes.

LOTS of people still go to the movies! it's not their fault you spent a quarter of a billion dollars on one film and you need them all to see it three times for it to make a profit. spend less!

there will come a point where any perceived kudos AI sloppers believe they get when they yurk a piece of crap out into the world will stop being meaningful because they're not getting what they actually want, whether they know it or not, which is the understanding that the process IS the reward
If the writer’s eyes light up when asked, “why did the character do that?” then it’s real.

A strong independent badass woman in a movie is not a Girl Boss

If they were, they'd sit back and let everyone else do the work while they paid them shit wages.

Ripley is a god damn worker exploited by the capitalist corpoation, put some fucking RESPECT on her god damn name.

today i cleaned the oven, cleaned all the kitchen shelves and behind the fridge and kicker boards, vacuumed the the entire living room, including behind the sofa, vacuumed the sofa, sanded and filled the damaged ceiling from where we had a leak, and put together three pieces of IKEA furniture

a HUGE part of traffic issues is the relentless drive to get people back into offices rather than remaining working from home

add to that, the fact that people have to live so far from their workplaces because of the housing crisis and we have roads choked with sleep deprived/stressed drivers

so many people have been manipulated into believing that trans women in particular are a clear and present danger (to cis women) despite the fact that they barely knew trans people EXISTED 10 years ago, and went about their day free of this 'fear'...
First the Girl Guides and now another venerable British institution is bullied (and capitulates) into discrimination against their will by another fine British institution: the pure bigotry of a small cabal of the meddling rich and a craven media whipping up a moral panic

Every single word of this

Also, writers now have to have multiple projects in development at the same time in the hopes that *something* will see the light of day

eventually

at the heat death of the universe
When you try to explain why scripted development can take so long, it's almost embarrassing to have to tell people that it does not boil down to some very specific, rigorous process, but rather that it might take you 5 days to write a draft, and seventeen weeks to get each set of notes back on it.

* NGC 2403, a weird galaxy that produces too many supernovae

* Thor's Helmet, looks cool

* NGC 660, another weird galaxy whose core is on a different axis than its arms

* The Snow Angel - you can only see the wings
