When I was a kid/teen I saw live theatre as a thing for snobby rich people. It wasn't until I went and studied it in college that I realized how wrong I was. I'm not even sure how I came to the initial belief in the first place.

I have SO MANY THOUGHTS both as a poor kid who was raised in music and as a library worker facing a society that increasingly has no use for art.

I've been consistent on this beyond video games but all expression and art has the right to be hard to engage with. To be difficult and unpleasant. Books that make you uncomfortable on purpose, movies that make you want to look away, games that make you want to quit.
