Taxing only fossil fuels would help drive this kind of fuel out of the market sooner. Fossil fuel is a dirty and impure fuel compared to biofuels.
Removing the fuel subsidy is also needed. Tax free biofuels would be available as a substitute.

Drop fuel tax on biofuels but not fossil fuels.

They would rather have a teddy bear at the table than people in poverty who would speak for themselves.

I think PM Albanese underestimates the political capital that can be gained by standing up to the faceless donors and their lobbyists.
Senator Pocock (ACT) did that, among other things. He was returned at the last election with 39% of the vote and a 17% swing to him.

She should be suspended without pay until she provides answers to ALL questions. If any answers are not provided within 4 weeks, termination for cause, no payout. Grant no extensions.

White sharks flee when orcas are nearby because orcas eat white sharks. It took just two orcas to drive off white sharks from around the coast of southern Africa.
If only we could use this somehow.

Great White Sharks Were Scared From Their Habitat by Just Two Predators
No sea creature inspires terror – rightly or wrongly – as much as the white shark does.

"Job providers" is such an Orwellian name. They don't provide any jobs for unemployed workers.

If self-driving cars were taking a licence test, they would fail.

That's not section 42. Those are sections inserted into the Act after section 42.
The name you want for this group is Division 3A.

My current provider is in the "disability" stream. Their office is in a building with no wheelchair access or tactile pavement markings.
This is just some of the rubbish treatment that unemployed workers have been dealing with since the CES was scrapped. 3/3

The online portal is broken. Changing providers shows a list of providers without any search capability. Provider search is a separate page without any link to change providers.
This is not acceptable. I'm going to show this mess to my local MP. 2/

I am trying to change to a new job service provider and the process is very difficult. Calls to the transfer line have wait times of several hours. 1/x

The average unemployment payment per fortnight is about 0.0000001% of the federal Budget, which come with very high accountability including "mutual" obligations.
A similar level of rigour must be applied to countries' net CO₂ emissions to prevent a tragedy of the commons.

Telling an investigative reporter from Four Corners "quiet" is not going to work.

Great idea! I'm already thinking of ideas. I might share some recipes.

If a tenancy is terminated by either party due to a home being unfit for habitation, it should be a mandatory legal requirement that the home be inspected and receive an updated certificate of occupancy before it can receive new tenants. Penalties for breaches should include prison.
machinator68.bsky.social
Imposing minimum housing standards is needed. Too many decrepit homes are put on the rental market that would not qualify for a certificate of occupancy. Tenancy laws are far too weak on this issue.

Howard destroyed the CES and severed this link between unemployed workers and jobs.

Problems are so much easier to deal with when it's possible to throw money at them to make them go away.

Although this is technically correct, the article is using this technicality to conceal from its readers the fact that Hare-Clark is used outside of Tasmania at state or territory level.
That is just one of several flaws in that opinion piece.

Take three copies of that form: one for Medicare, one to enclose with your letter of complaint to your local MP, one for the media.
Paper forms belong in the 20th century.

"No other state has [a multi-member electoral system] so why should Tasmania?"
This is misleading. The ACT parliament elects its members using Hare-Clark.
