Great win for United women, looked like an off day for a while but convincing and comfortable in the end. I liked Grace Clinton a lot but once she wanted out, getting Jess Park in exchange really does look like a fantastic bit of business - such a fun player to watch

How this story hasn't made headlines everywhere is unfortunately *not* beyond me. Just a pal of Farage's, ex-UKIP MEP, proud "patriot" betraying his country to Russia.

Same day. Same plenary session. Same visit to Gill’s office. Same Farage, Same Gill, same wife of sanctioned pro Russian agent.

Six days after the first bribery charge

Alvaro Carreras should be the poster boy for where we’ve been going wrong on this front. It wasn’t the academy who blocked his pathway by signing Malacia, sold him for peanuts and then watched Real Madrid play £40m+ for him a year later
manunitedyouth.bsky.social
Idea that the academy is failing because we’re not selling youth products for decent money just massively ignores what a dysfunctional mess the club has been overall

Jordan angling for a gig on GB News with his other half. If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times - no-one in their right mind should give a solitary shit what a failed club chairman and deeply unpleasant narcissist has to say about football (or indeed anything)

Simon Jordan on TalkSport, unchallenged yet again.

As a Talksport employee, I am embarrassed by this rebuttal of what Neville said. This moron pontificates without question. It is bonkers.

And yeah, i'll probably be sacked. Fuck it.

This is Reform's only Senedd Member Laura Anne Jones.

She is very angry about the Wales' Nation of Sanctuary that mainly supports Ukrainian refugees.

However she didn't always feel this way. Here are two speeches she has given where she says opposite things.

Pushed repeatedly on why she doesn't know how many civil servants would lose their jobs under her plans, Kemi Badenoch finally goes with: "If a job shouldn't exist then it isn't really a job".

"So you're laying waste to people's jobs, but you don't know how many?"

Kemi Badenoch plans to get rid of 'quite a lot' of civil servants.

She doesn't have the exact figure, but she assures Nick that she's 'looked at it'.

The future focus so far seems to have very much been on buying in 17/18yo uncut gems from elsewhere/abroad - think the jury is still very out on commitment to the actual academy. Do worry INEOS might not see the value in properly investing there
manunitedyouth.bsky.social
Losing Nick Cox, Adam Lawrence and now Fedorenko in quick succession does make me worry a little. All moving on to great opportunities but can’t help wondering if the INEOS staff cuts and their impact on the academy have been a factor in them being open to leaving

EXCL: Manchester United head of academy recruitment Luke Fedorenko to leave club.
MUFC wanted to keep him as
he’s very good, but he’s accepted a new offer. More detail here for @theathleticfc.bsky.social

if that HIGNFY Euan Blair fuckup had been about a right-winger it'd have had full front-page scandal coverage in the Mail followed by frontpage coverage across the board for the next week, days of "BBC in crisis" headline coverage by the BBC, and parliamentary questions about Tim Davie's future

In fact this *understates* the point here.

Tory policy is not (just) to remove benefits but to remove ILR and deport, exactly like the Farage plan the PM correctly described as racist.
nisreenalwan.bsky.social
“Another part of the plan would limit benefits to people with UK citizenship, removing it even from those who have been in the country for years or even decades and have indefinite leave to remain”

If this is not xenophobia then I don’t know what is.
Sickening.

The thing that pisses me off here is that if it was Brentford on the wrong end of these decisions it would’ve been covered wall to wall in the media. When it’s united, crickets

Howard Webb has admitted that the ref and VAR got it wrong last week…
Tweet from @mufcscoop: 🚨 Howard Webb (Head of PGMO) has acknowledged to Manchester United that the decision to not send off Brentford’s Nathan Collins last weekend was incorrect.

United have not made a public fuss over the situation but behind the scenes have acted given the potential implications for under-pressure manager Ruben Amorim.

They are understood to have appreciated Webb’s honesty and transparency in acknowledging the mistake.

Comfortable win, clean sheet, very solid debut for Lammens, Sesko’s best game yet, Amad much more like himself. Nothing there to really make any doubters revise their priors but we take those.
