I mean you can include a 'backmatter' section for the SI so that the main manuscript can easily reference supplemental figures and tables, then just split the PDF on final compile. You can even restart the page numbering to make it clean.

It's super simple stuff, journals.

You are *publishers*. Your submission templates should include LaTeX templates, and those templates should also actually make proper use of LaTeX functionality. It's not just for the math kids, it'll actually make your own jobs easier.

just got an email from a company letting me know that as part of a settlement for a data breach class action lawsuit against them, they're giving out a discount code for *up to* $1.00 to affected users.

So to be clear. A company gets to turn a legal ruling AGAINST them into ... more revenue.

Calling it "Alligator Alcatraz" intentionally evokes the idea of a prison, suggesting the people there have committed a crime.

Call it "Alligator Auschwitz", since that seems to be their actual intent.

Or better yet, call it directly what it is: a concentration camp.

I am growing increasingly annoyed at the number of "AI trainer" and "Tutor for AI Model" jobs popping up on LinkedIn and other sites. I have no interest in training your AI model to be a worse version of me. Companies are relying on short-term desperation to fuel long-term obsolescence.
