It's so incredible how low homicide rates are in Europe. The UK, with a population of 70 million people, had fewer than 600 murders in 2023.

I think this is the correct interpretation. There's probably room for these numbers to drop a little more (5-10%), but the floor on Trump support is likely in the 30-35% range.

I suspect it is less a question of time and more of a question of will. It will be very tempting to do the minimum to restore basic government functions without addressing the fundamental flaws that allowed this to happen.
