With the tragic shootings in Minnesota, I can't help but think that people really missed the point of defunding the police and the BLM protests in 2020 and before that. Because law enforcement killing people is not new.

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

Fascinated to know where the ‘no it’s not Fascism’ crowd stand after the last two weeks, with the kidnap of Liam Ramos, the murder of Renee Good and now Alex Pretti, a 37 yr old ICU nurse who worked with veterans.

He was shot nine times while helping a woman who had been pepper sprayed.

Nine.

I would love it if Robert Jenrick found himself without a party, I realise it's 2026 and good things keep happening to bad people but I would love it if he'd just fucked it

“That’s so stupid” that she was killed, Renee Good's mom told a reporter. “She was probably terrified.”

When people we love die it feels senseless, impossible. So wrong and plain stupid that it could happen. And so, so much more so in this case.
