I'm an illustrator, not a comics guy. Outside of 2 classes (which were hard because of the obnoxious teachers) the hardest class I took in college was comics.

Hats off to comics makers because they are a level of hardcore you can't fathom. Pay! Them!

I'll keep repeating it til' I'm blue in the face - making comics is actually an exceptionally difficult task. I'm quick as hell but each page I draw represents about 10-20 hours of work from writing to final output. I deserve to be paid for that work.

Local game stores are a great place to go for off-line holiday shopping, plus many of them are community gaming hubs and stock games from indie creators!

Shopping at your FLGS usually helps a few small businesses (the game store + any creators who have works there)!

Dear Publisher - We recently shared the news that Baker & Taylor was shutting down operations. When we learned they were financially unstable, Ingram took many steps to reduce credit exposure and stock levels, while continuing availability of books to library customers. Those steps were highly successful and the credit balance to the account was brought down significantly over time. At the time they shut down operations, their remaining stock on hand was minimal. Unfortunately, we have received notice that they will not pay the outstanding amounts they do owe and no further stock will be returned. Ingram is taking on the first $100,000, but the debt owed exceeds that amount. As a result, a chargeback for your pro rata share will be on your December statement (available the first week of January), per the terms of your contract.

A 9 year old kid showed up at my D&D table last night. He had a level 5 Cleric, but the adventure was level 10 and already in progress. I upped his HP to 73 or so and gave him a few high level spells (Flame Strike!).

He did really well and was more on the ball than half of my players!

The infographic is plainly nonsense, containing many spelling errors, nonsense words, meaningless images and graphs. Clearly created using generative AI and (crucially) NEVER CHECKED AT ANY STEP OF THE WRITING OR PUBLICATION PROCESS.
