SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.

So there's some great artwork coming for a project I'm doing and now I'm being asked to "animate" it subtly for... reasons.

I've never animated anything before but luckily the image itself lends itself to one very easy type of animation and it's surprisingly easy for how good it looks.

One of the things that is truly scary around the narrative - especially in HE - on AI is that there's no consideration of an off-ramp.
People are being encouraged to engage more and more deeply with tools that - effectiveness aside - are going to exist forever at the whim of tech companies provision

I guess it's also because the seasons change fastest at the equinoxes due to complicated trigonometry reasons, like at the steepest point in a sine wave, there's the biggest rate of change here and you can feel it. Winter will be here soon

So yeah anyway, love the equinoxes, the daylight starts and ends at a reasonable point, the temperature is normally pretty good and there's a feeling of change in the air, like this too shall pass.

Apparently the plural of Equinox is Equinoctes in case anyone was wondering. But also using Equinoxes are fine and the purpose of language is to communicate, not to be technically correct but indecipherable. I'll probably just use Equinoxes from here on out
