Vote Yes. Somewhat Left of Centre. I’ll ‘PASS’ on the nuclear energy, thank you. Happy to be told I’m wrong, but don’t come at me with bullshit. Proud Psephologist fan girl.

The electorate voted for a senate that has a majority of ALP and Greens.

Murray Watt and the ALP are choosing instead to write laws that will please the LNP and mining companies.

This is not the outcome a majority of Australians voted for.
I’m getting weary of this. This government is representative of what the people of this place want. The argument is with all of us. Turning it into a constant personalised political snipe belittles the nature of the problem.
Thanks to Murray and his ALP pals, weather reports like this will become increasingly scary and weird
Just shows how out of touch and irrelevant they (the journalists) are because not even Trump cared. Mud rakers.
As a daughter who witnessed her mum suffer terribly in cyclical periods throughout her life I am glad that you have found some respite. 🤞your treatment continues to control your illness.
If New Yorkers needed any greater incentive to elect Mamdani they now have it!

Albo's meeting with Trump went better than any Australian media outlet or the LNP opposition wanted. But rather than publish positive stories they are focusing on Trumps banter with K Rudd.
Well done Kevin for standing your ground and Albo for ignoring Trumps childish attempt to belittle Kevin.
When SusSan Ley suggests there is an elephant in the room we need to point out that she is looking in a mirror and that she is the elephant in the party room. #auspol
Do what you gotta do, but you know we miss you when you're not here!!
President Bartlett (aka Martin Sheen) may have something to say about that.

Sussan Ley has lashed out at Kevin Rudd saying now that it’s clear that US President Trump doesn’t like him, she wants him immediately sacked.

How about taking Australia’s side for once in your life Sussan? Inexcusable, unelectable. #auspol
Couldn’t it be argued that Rudd is doing a good job because AUS is enjoying a favourable period in its relationship with US? A diplomat doing good diplomacy, doing his job….. who would have thought!
Coalition needs to stay in its own somewhat haphazard lane.
Outdated list if Kanzi isn’t on it.!!
I have seen the AWS add on TV many times and each time I say... I have no idea what/who that is. After the AWS outage I can categorically state that it has no relevance to me.
It says more about us than them! Every time I see the seats of Wannon and Goldstein mentioned I shake my head and wonder at the outcomes.
I'm going to need Botox because I'm constantly in a Laura Tingle raised eyebrow state. Politicians truly must think we're stupid.
I do blame the govt for paving the investor’s path in gold. Why on earth should holidays homes be afforded negative gearing and capital gains discounts?

Air BnB accounts for 160,000 properties that used to be long term rentals.

Air BnB started in 2012 with 5k homes on its books.

In 2018 it had 80k it now has projections of 200k by the end of this year.

Rents have risen by 44% in the last 6yrs!

Investors are the problem not immigrants.
What I love seeing here is lots of young people protesting, it’s their future, their country, they need to steer it in the direction they want……it is after all a democracy. People need to remember that they have strength in number.

Reading a book about Occupied France in WWII and what I hear of in USA is creating a real fear and foreboding in me.
If that happens we will require them to wear name tags, just so that we can differentiate who they are, because in my lack of understanding I can think of a few who are already treading that path.
If you look closely you can see just how different they are!!!
And increasingly it seems the LABOR party is more willing to negotiate with these people rather than the Greens and Independents. Seems unimaginable doesn’t it?

Analysis by The Australia Institute reveals that replacing the broken Petroleum Resource Rent Tax (PRRT) with a flat 25% tax on gas exports, as suggested by the ACTU, would raise more than $17 billion a year, enough to quadruple Commonwealth spending on housing.

Absolute must idea.
The big gas and oil companies have been having it their way for too long. We are calling for a 25% tax on gas exports. This would have raised $17.1 billion in the 2023-2024 financial year. Enough to build 50,000 new homes.
