Ex PM's are billing Australia far more every year with Turnbull-over$430k, Howard-over$347k, & Abbott-over$342k toping the bill - far more than ex ALP PM's -Julia Gillard the lowest at $133.6k- Federal MP's & ex PM's expenses/allowances are ridiculous overall

The rich get tax advice; the poor get lectures: super tax saga lays bare a skewed system
A new report on the amount of revenue expected to be raised by the changes to superannuation tax on balances over $3m highlights yet again how the tax system is weighted in favour of the rich and that...

Unfortunately, what all this hype does do is create trolling and hate towards one person. She is not alone, most of the politicians appear to use perk. Former PM's perks should also be included in a review and they should be either done away with or capped (to a very low limit).

I didn’t vote for the social media ban; the real issue has always been tech companies allowing harmful behaviour to run rampant on their platforms. But with the ban in place, the Govt mustn’t forget to ensure social media platforms also clean up their act. #auspol #politas

Congratulations to all who received their VCE results today.

This is a significant milestone in your lives—but remember that the results from one set of exams do not define you or your future.

You’ve achieved a great deal in reaching this point, and the really fun parts are still to come!

I lived in her electorate and was tasked with getting flags from our local representative, her office was rarely open, repeated requests were overlooked and on the rare occasion Reynolds was in WA, we couldn’t approach her.
We got the flags from another electorate.

On Anika Wells' travel, so many press gallery hacks trotting out the cliche that it "doesn't pass the pub test".

Their beat-up of that issue,
while largely ignoring policy failures on housing, climate, poverty, tax, gambling, accountability & corruption...

doesn't past the journalism test. #auspol
Press gallery in strong "thank fuck we don't have to worry about policy" mode with it's coverage of Wells' travel.

Oh you found a travel thing from 2022? So why didn't you note it when it was first reported? It's not like it was only just announced.

In a recent 7.30 interview, Opposition leader Sussan Ley said the rollout of renewables was the cause of high energy prices in Australia.

How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?

How ludicrous for Labor to cut $5 billion in public services during a cost of living crisis. Every six months the government pays around $5b in Fuel Tax Credits to mining corporations to burn fossil fuels. If Labor is going to cut spending, cut handouts to fossil fuel barons.
