I genuinely really love Solovair. ❤️ They’ll also re-sole your boots as they wear down for life, I’m pretty sure? Which I mean, hefty shipping back to the UK but also I always appreciate a commitment to a product’s quality like that.

For the new Starfleet Academy style, the sole is pretty similar to Solovair. They come in men’s and women’s sizing and are also leather and quite nice quality. Like, the classic lace up Solovairs are my regular work boot.

I don’t think they’ve done a zip front?

I also think you want to step away from making assumptions about me (or anyone else for that matter) based on whatever you feel about where I happen to live (which is no longer accurate anyway). It’s… an unfortunate turn to this conversation to say the least.

Based on their shopping priorities. Cause again, I walked passed $720 figures today at comic con using my reduced rate badge that still ran me $150 (and that’s at what? Half sticker price?). So it’s not like nerds aren’t out there spending Fluevog money.

Violate some of the terms of the collab and make the entire public release go away. And I don’t think that’s great either.

Overall we both want better merch. I’m just going to be honest with you— That likely means more expensive merch. And that might make it inaccessible to some.

I’d challenge you to also take a minute and evaluate the collab from my perspective. I think the reason my opinion is unpopular is because I’m speaking as someone who is very into fashion and is also a fan, and a lot of people just aren’t. I’ve also worked in fashion and continue to work in fashion.

Yep! The little interactive thing also has folks wearing them. They’re a really fun texture and def a lighter poly over an interlining layer (which is better for wear and structure) but I think could be done in a neoprene in a pinch (and maybe be more comfortable/less suit like).
