The arrests of Don Lemon, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lundy are unacceptable and a clear violation of the Constitution.

This is a dangerous abuse of power that threatens the rights of every single American.

They must be released immediately.

NEW: Trump and his two eldest sons sued the IRS for $10 billion of American taxpayers’ money over the leak of his tax returns during his first term.

The lawsuit raises the possibility that his political appointees in the IRS will have a hand in responding to the unprecedented move.

50 years ago in Buckley v. Valeo, the Supreme Court concluded that campaign spending equates to free speech.

This led to Citizens United and billions in dark money flooding elections—making it clear that only the ultra-wealthy can fully exercise this form of "free speech."

Abolish ICE is the moderate position.
This is a funny looking deescalation. Sure looks like they're ramping up their capacity to arrest, detain, deport, and terrorize Americans exercising their constitutional rights. Should Senate Dems give the regime the benefit of the doubt and agree to more funding for DHS?
BIG news from @bloomberg.com, which confirms that ICE has gone ahead and *purchased* multiple commercial warehouses with the aim of converting them into mass detention camps.

This is likely to be the big detention story of 2026 — literal warehousing of people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

very odd* that originalists' professed commitments to history and nonpartisanship haven't stopped them from championing Trump’s assault on birthright citizenship, the historical foundation of multiracial democracy in the United States !
