They want to make protecting children dangerous, treat those who try to do it as criminals.

Conservatives/Republicans don't blink when it comes to consolidating power.

Something Democrats/progressives must keep in mind IF they were to get control of the WH and both chambers of Congress again (can't repeat the same mistakes from 2021).

#ExpandtheCourt
The Utah Senate has passed a bill that would expand the state supreme court by 2 seats (to be filled by the GOP governor).

This comes as local conservatives are angry about judicial decisions in Utah, inc. one that safeguarded direct democracy in 2024 & one that struck down their gerrymander.

Initially I thought this quote was about ICE.

The two are related. Domination by unaccountable men.

Marimar Martinez is a hero.

She was shot 5 times by ICE.

The agent told her to “do something b*tch” before opening fire.

He later bragged “5 shots, 7 holes”.

DHS tried to smear her reputation but video footage vindicated her.

Next week she will testify in Washington about ICE’s brutality.

This week has been a lot. It’s overwhelming.

But what is in those files the DOJ released today is a scandal of monumental proportions. People fear that it is “too big to fail.” Maybe.
But Congress must act.

Yes! we need all the files. But what has been released is already a four-alarm fire.

One of the things I regularly bang on about is the need to fight the anti-vaccine movement at the state level.

States each set the requirements for childhood vaccines for school entry, and anti-vaxxers are launching state-by-state campaigns to get these requirements removed.
Months ago I started posting about the importance of monitoring state childhood vaccine requirements for school entry. I cannot emphasize this enough. States decide which vaccines are required. Anti-vaxxers are organized and will appear at state legislative hearings and repeat lies with hubris.
